Long Island City, New York April 28, 2001 -
Lt. Mark Wachter, 108th Precinct notified the Community Board #2 office, as a follow up to the DSC Meeting, that an arrest was made concerning the break ins at 46th Road and 5th Street.
The man arrested is someone who lives nearby and is in his mid-50's. There is still an ongoing investigation and the 108th is continuing their patrols of this location. During previous hearings, the police have told the community that incidents like these are often attributable to "career criminals".
