Long Island City, New York December 15, 2011 -
On December 15th, Carlo Bermudez owner of [ fLo rE sta ], the foral design company that has been growing entrepreneurially in Long Island City, opened his second location inside the Foodcellar Market.
Bermudez is a third generation florist who has won the community over by his exceptional designs, and his warm personality. His grandfather was a florist in Colombia.
Bermudez says that his [ fLo rE sta ] are unique because his "flowers are from all over the world." He adds emphasis by saying that "Most of the flowers were in their original country just a few days ago." He sell flowers from countries like Holland, Japan, Israel, etc. "I have the ability to have flowers out of season because my bckground in the flower business gives him that chance." Respectfully, Carlo says "Thank you to the neighborhood for giving him a chance to express myself".
Wherever it is open, [ fLo rE sta ] creates a pleasant atmosphere surrounded by flowers. Bermudez has a special talent with flowers that can enhance our lives on a daily basis. [ fLo rE sta ]is now doing two or three wedding events per month.
[ fLo rE sta ] offers gorgeous, modern, fresh, eclectic and unique floral designs.
It is therefore natural that the partners at Foodcellar Market have connected with Bermudez. They have much in common in their appreciation for top quality food, freshness, and presentation that delights the eye.

Erhan Bahceci, one of the partners in Foodcellar Market explains that "We have the best produce in Long Island City and the best pizza in town, using masa madre technique to create that beautiful pizza, and something was missing here...right by the entrance. We thought we were doing a good job, but we were not." He adds that Carlo is as excited about this as much as we are. The combination of the energy has created this, and it is just the beginning."
