The ConEd power facility near 14th Street exploded during Hurrican Sandy's arrival at Manhattan.
ConEd Senior Vice President John Miksad is quoted on Tuesday saying that "the planned outage should take three to four days to restore, while the explosion and the downed lines could take up to a week."
