Real Relief, Donations, and Supplies Coming from New York Irish Center             Long Island City, NY November 4, 2012 - HURRICANE SANDY RESPONSE UPDATE 1040 Jackson Avenue, LIC (Queens), NY 11101 NYIC Rallies To Help Hurricane Sandy Victims >>MORE<<   The New York Irish Center continues to accept donations of emergency supplies on Sunday from noon to 8pm in LIC. WE ALSO HAVE A WOODSIDE COLLECTION POINT, STAFFED BY NYIC VOLUNTEERS AT:  The Dugout Pub 39-76 61st St, Woodside, NY 11377 (61st St between Woodside and Rosevelt Ave)  Sunday: 11am - 4pm The items most needed: Blankets, garbage bags, work gloves, batteries, cell phone chargers, and cleaning supplies, non-perishable food, 'Rubbermate' containers, shopping carts, and water.   NOTE: THERE IS NO MORE NEED FOR CLOTHING AT THIS TIME. (NO ONE HAS CAPACITY FOR MORE CLOTHING AT THIS TIME, SO PLEASE DO NOT BRING! We will not accept clothing!).  We will transport all donations to the Rockaways on your behalf. Staten Island is also in severe distress.  Depending on response and volume of need, donations may be routed on to Staten Island also.
