Long Island City, NY October 13, 2012 - On October 13, 2012, ART teachers and administrators gathered from all of NYC to attend a city-wide, all day conference sponsored by NYCATA / UFT. The purpose of the conference was to learn, share skills and experience art workshops... and to highlight the essential central idea that ART is the CORE OF THE CURRICULUM. The theme of the conference was, in fact, "Art Education: Core of the Curriculum."
