Long Island City, New York October 12, 2010 - Tom DiNapoli, Comptroller for New York State, along with other elected leaders from New York State, New York City, and US Congress Members gathered at a 'meet and greet' fund raising reception in Long Island City. In his comments to the the attendees, DiNapoli pointed out the need for Democratic Voters to 'turn-out', calling attention to the fact that his opponent had spent over $3.0 million of his own wealth to fund his campaign.  He said that he had worked hard for the people of New York State on  managing the states funds,  investments of the pension fund,  as well as promoting accountability. Several officers of the New York Chapter of The Association of Indians in America were among the supporters attending.   Sushma Kotahwala, President of the organization, was officially presented a PROCLAMATION by Tom DiNapoli.
