Part 9 - Interview with Christine Quinn, Speaker of the City Council

Long Island City, NY January 22, 2010 - A news conference was held today to protest the shutting of the 7 line and the G line for seven consecutive weekends starting January 29, 2010.

Elected officials are working hard pressuring the MTA for a bus shuttle, to operate when the 7 train is shut down, to connect directly into Grand Central Station from the Vernon Jackson Station.

See the letter to the MTA from New York City Council Speaker Chris Quinn, NYS Assemblywoman Catherine T. Nolan and our new City Councilmember Jimmy Van Bramer.
