HUNTER'S POINT/QUEENS WEST MISSION STATEMENT

We envision our library to be an iconic LEEDS certified building that is a jewel in the necklace of our "City of Water- New York".

Our Pre-Construction Mission is to:

• Participate in the design of a library building that enhances our park like setting, is worthy of the notable site on which it sits, accommodates multiple community uses and earns LEEDs certification.
• We will keep our community informed as to the status of the library.
• We will encourage membership in the Friends group.
• We will assist in fund raising to support our library's construction and its eventual myriad of programs offered.
